Introduction:

Hey Holbrook! All of a sudden it got kind of cold and you know what that means…time to collect candy!

In this newsletter you’ll find:

  1. An updated list of upcoming events.

  2. Trunk or Treat events and more.

  3. A Featured Friend from the shelter.

Upcoming Events in Holbrook, AZ (that we know of) :

October 23: Holbrook City Council Meeting. 6pm. City Hall.

October 24: Chamber Business Break - understanding the new Management Bachelor degree at NPC. 8-9am. Holbrook NPC campus.  

October 26: Bunco Night - Holbrook Food Bank Fundraiser. 6pm. 216 Joy Nevin Ave

October 26: In Motion Physical Therapy 5K fun run/Walk. Register Here.

November 1: HHS Homecoming Parade. 8:30-10:00 am.

November 1: HHS Football Homecoming Game. 6pm.

November 2: Holbrook Business Holiday Showcase by the Holbrook Chamber of Commerce. 10am-2pm at Old Courthouse. Contact Chamber for entry forms.

November 9: First Baptist Church Winter Bazaar. 9am-2pm. 360 N. First Ave.

November 11: Veterans Day Holiday. Expect no school and business closures etc.

5 Halloween Events (that we know of)

Oct. 25 NPC’s EagleFest. Is this in Holbrook? No, but NPC typically encourages surrounding communities to attend. EagleFest shows off NPC’s programs and has various giveaways and interactive booths. We hear they may also have a trunk or treat as well. 3pm-6pm at Winslow NPC campus.

Oct. 27 Faith Assembly of God Trunk or Treat. Flyer states candy, games, food, and more. 311 E Erie St. from 5-8pm.

Oct. 30 - Holbrook High School Homecoming Trunk or Treat. Usually one of the largest in town. Starts at 6:30, but the flyer encourages the line to start at 6:00pm. Located at the HHS parking lot area.

Oct. 30 - Navajo County Sherriff’s office Trunk or Treat. Located at the Sherriff’s Office (137 W. Arizona St.) from 5-7pm.

Oct. 31 - Holbrook Spooktacular. 5-8pm At the Fairgrounds in Martinez Hall. There are often games and many interactive booths. Don’t forget the costume contest! Volunteers are always needed and wanted!

(Obvious Bonus Event) Oct. 31 - Halloween. Accuweather is currently predicting no rain or snow - nice! And of course regular trick or treating in Holbrook. Please drive carefully! If I only knew which houses were giving away the full-size candy bars…

Georgie - (male, heeler mix 4 months) this cutie is lovable and snuggly. He’s ready for a forever family. $120 adoption fee. Includes: neuter, city license, deworming, microchip, & vaccinations .
